What is Typebot?
Typebot is a chatbot builder similar to Manychat or Typeform (or combining both – I'm not sold on whether it's better as bot or a form). It helps companies automate marketing or support tasks.
You can build bot experiences with branching logic, rich content, capture data or file, execute custom JS or send data to webhooks, Zapier, Google Sheets of email. It even has a native A/B testing feature that splits your audience after particular steps.
Typebots can be delivered to customers via:
website embeds – there are Wordpress, WIX and Shopify apps in addition to HTML embeds and iframes
API calls
Nextjs or React package
WhatsApp (now) or other messengers (coming soon)
3.9K stars on Github

Pricing structure
Tiered pricing based on volume of monthly chats (most likely because chats correlate with cloud costs)
4 plans:
Free is limited to 200 chats/month (6 leads/day) and 1 editor. It has every bot building feature but file ingestion and WhatsApp integration
$39/month Starter includes 2K monthly chats, 2 editors, custom branding, folders, files ingestion and 2GB of storage. More chats are $20/1000
$89/month Professional adds 3 editor seats, WhatsApp integration, custom domains, bot analytics and at least some support. Additional chats start at $10/1000 and get cheaper with volume
Enterprise at unknown price removes chat and seat limits and adds SSO and dedicated support
No annual discounts as plans are kind-of-usage-based
Self-hosting under AGLPv3 available for the whole repo
Does it make sense to pay?
Almost always if you're bigger than 6 leads/day and is determined to use Typebot.
Pros:
It is a product for end users, so embedding in website can turn it AGPL-prone
Relatively cheap alternative to Manychat which is priced by number of contacts which will never go down
WhatsApp is a great channel for many companies
Cons:
Manychat Pro at limit costs roughly the same $9K as maxxed out Typebot Professional and has more mature product
If you need only WhatsApp at low volume, Manychat can do it for free with more channels
